What to visit in Durango?
1. Durango
The city of Durango could well be a museum, you will see it when you discover its true architectural gems in its Plaza de Armas, its temples and its quarry buildings. A detail that amazes many is that the Civil Pantheon is also a Museum of Funeral Art, which you can enter to admire its beautiful Chapel of Rest and monuments.
2. El Salto
To access El Salto, the easiest way is starting from Victoria de Durango, taking the highway that leads to Mazatlán. A slightly winding road that leaves behind the semi-desert of the state capital and capriciously blends into the pine forests, rises up and makes you feel like you're heading for heaven.
3. Museo de Francisco Villa
architectural gem
The baroque-style building houses manuscripts and memorabilia of the military leader whose real name was Doroteo Arango. It also houses archery objects and murals painted by artists such as Francisco Montoya from Durango and Manuel Guillermo de Lourdes, a native of Texcoco.
5. Mexiquillo
The Mexiquillo High Mountain Tourism Development is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the state of Durango, it is located at Km. 145 of highway No. 40 Durango-Mazatlán within the Ejido La Ciudad of the municipality of Pueblo Nuevo, Durango .
